Twelve Months of Growth and Clarity - New Physician Group Begins in June 2024!
I feel like we have met. No, odds are we haven’t actually met yet, but if any of this resonates with you, you need to know that you are not alone. My team of professional coaches and I have worked with physicians across the country in large medical groups and health care organizations, as well as small private practices for over five years. We hear you. We have developed programs to meet your needs, and this one fits the needs of many.
My calling to support physicians and help them lighten their loads motivates me to provide this support. I take my calling seriously. It is personal. I spent my first 25 years as a working adult supporting doctors in direct patient care and then as an administrator. I used to manage the miniscule budgets of several medical offices while juggling the competing priorities of providing high quality care for our patients amidst the demands that are killing those with the qualifications required to deliver. The business of providing health care is complex. But I don’t need to tell you that. I enjoyed my time partnering with physicians more than any other aspect of health care. There is a pull there for me to help you get to the other side of better. I’ve been a coach for physicians in both internal and external settings since 2013, and I have come to learn quite a bit about you all. I’ve identified neuroscience research we use as the backbone of our programs and our outcomes speak for themselves. You can also check out testimonials from physicians about our programs here.
Six critical topics will be covered, and you will be doing work to unlock clarity in yourself related to all of them. This journey is designed specifically for physicians, and it will not only make it easy for you to know where you want to take action toward the meaningful change of your choosing, it will also change the way you think about your thinking, while building those new neural pathways to sustaining the changes you desire.
Self-Awareness
Know thyself with a Hogan Personality Assessment and group debrief with one of our Hogan Specialists. Develop an authentic and intentional process for observing yourself in situations, identifying opportunities to proactively leverage your strengths, and noticing when you are under stress.
Values
Re-acquaint yourself with your personal values and develop an authentic and intentional process for applying them to your whole life - home, work, and everywhere in between.
Triggers
Understand your triggers and how to manage them leveraging David Rock Ph.D.'s neuroscience research. Design your very own way to build new neural pathways that are context sensitive to your world and can effectively create the response you desire to exhibit during stressful situations.
Gratitude
Increase your ability to view life with gratitude that is not toxic positivity, but intentional recognition of the good all around you while learning to become authentically grateful for what every situation has to teach you; intrinsic and extrinsic locus of control is covered so we can more clearly recognize victim tendencies and how to counter them.
Mindset
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable so you can continuously improve with a cultivated growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset, leveraging Carol Dweck Ph.D.’s research.
Limiting Beliefs
Recognize and manage your own limiting beliefs related to your capabilities and future potential; learn how to observe them, question them, and proactively manage them. Recognize the power of our thoughts in our lives and how they manifest things, be it positive or negative. Learn immediately applicable tactics to manage your inner critic and counter imposter syndrome.
If you know you want to work one-on-one with a coach to make changes in one-three areas of focus that are out of alignment with the topics above, check out the one-on-one coaching services we offer here. For all other physicians, we know most of you were robbed of this inner work during the taxing years of medical school and residency, when the rest of us had access to it. This will get you caught up! And this work will also lighten your loads.
This is your opportunity to take a breath, and do some work that will benefit YOU.
We begin a new section every two months, so you can join several times throughout the year if next month is not the time. Although, based on the outcomes our clients achieve after they access our support, I will urge you to commit to starting this work now. There is little I hate more than hearing a doctor tell me or one of my coaches, “I wish I would have done this work 10/20 years ago. I might still be married/I might not have spent the last several years being so hard on myself/I might have decided to take on that challenge that I am passionate about/I might not have wasted the last decade being crippled by fear of all the what-ifs.” Or, “how can you help doctors everywhere know that you are here for us? Others need to know this support exists, is tailored to our needs, and accommodates our crazy schedules. I would have greatly benefitted from this BETTER version of myself several years ago. Those years are behind me now, but I wish they weren’t.” The time is now. Once you find us, we don’t mess around. We get the support you need. Without delay.
AND, we are working hard to ensure physicians everywhere know this support is available for them. If you have doctors in your life that you love, share this link with them too.
Two hours per month to engage with the content and do the guided inner work we provide, whenever you want to do it. Every other month, you will build strong connections and community while working with small groups to dive more deeply into your observations and actions identified for change. In addition, you can choose to join your peers in the group coaching sessions offered twice per month to support your journey, or skip them during the months you are forging ahead with no need for additional insight provided by your coach. It is up to you, in your own space, and on your own time.
Each group experience is twelve months long and eligible for 24 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits.
Be ready for change. This work is highly impactful.

FAQs:
How is this different from attending a traditional, classroom based training?
studies show that spending time learning about things related to changing behaviors in traditional settings only results in 10% return on your investment of time, energy, and cognitive capacity. In short, 90% of us humans don’t make any changes to the way we do things after the training is over. That is due to us not having access to figuring out how to take actions that are meaningful and context sensitive to the environment we live in. Our proprietary programs are developed specifically to help you do what is needed to get you where you want to go.
You will be needing to do the work. This isn’t the same type of work you do at work. It isn’t busy work or doing pointless data entry. It is the work of learning more about the way you think about things. And then, deciding if you’d like to make changes in any areas that YOU don’t feel are serving you well.
Can I just do the self-guided work on my own, or do I have to attend the group coaching sessions every month?
I know this is a crazy thing, but you get to choose! Providing autonomy for physicians is one of our core values. The guided inner work will get you where you need to go after digging into the monthly content provided. However, many of our doctors really enjoy the community of these coaching groups and leave feeling energized and emotionally linked to a other humans who have been struggling with similar stuff. For those who are not energized by spending more time with others, this is perfect for you too! Feel to skip the coaching sessions anytime. Just know that you can always connect with your coach during those sessions, or by email in between, to get the support you need if you get stuck.
This option makes it easy for you to keep up to speed with the content should you be lucky enough to take a month off and backpack around Switzerland, Thailand, Malaysia, Chile, New Zealand (insert any other of your favorite escape fantasy travel destinations here). You can simply skip the group coaching time for that month, while keeping up with the content when you are back.
Can I get CME credits simply for showing up?
Nope. We are only able to provide you with CME if you answer two questions related to each credit you are eligible to receive: 1) what did you learn? and 2) what action are you planning to take based on that learning?
this is not your typical CME for time and attendance. Our CME is powered by CMEfy, and they are all about learning. Answering these questions is quick and easy with links you will be provided, and they make sharing your CME info easy when it is time for you to turn in your credits.
Can I get a refund if I realize this is not for me?
ABSOLUTELY! This is all detailed in our coaching agreement.
A full refund is offered up to the last day of the first month in the course. No questions asked. We want this to work for you. If you decide this type of development option is just not your style, or you want to instead dedicate your next year to becoming a competetive triathlete, we are all for it! We are just not those kinds of coaches, so yeah…a refund will be in order.
All payments are done via credit card through Stripe, which supports these businesses too.
